This healthy oatmeal breakfast porridge is so simple to make and will keep you full for a long time. Oatmeal as a minimally processed whole food provides a host of important nutrient to keep you strong while powerful anthocyanins found in wild blueberries turn your bowl into an ultimate breakfast of champions.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats (ideally wheat-free)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup wild blueberries
  • 1 Drizzle maple syrup or honey
  • 1 dash plant milk of your choice (try almond, oat, soy or hemp milk)
Instructions
  1. Combine oats, cinnamon and water in a small saucepan, stir and bring it to a simmer.

  2. Cover and cook until soft and creamy for about 5  minutes, stir occasionally.

  3. Stir in wild blueberries and drizzle with plant milk and maple syrup or honey. 

Note

Allow longer cooking times if you are using steel cut oats.
